We had a wonderful time fishing with Captain Dan and Adam. Very professional and willing to teach some first timers. Captain Dan and Adam were a blast today. I highly recommend this experience. I went with my twin boys, who are 8 and my 4 year old son. They laughed and joked with the boys while answering the 1,000 of questions they had. My boys LOVED it. Until we got home and had the fish for dinner and they remembered seeing the guts, eggs and what the fish ate for breakfast while they were being cleaned They told me we need to deep fry it next time 🙄. We had the most Incredible Morning. Limited out in about 1 -1/2 hours . Captain Dan put us on really nice Lake Trout, nonstop action from the start . My boys and I had such a Great Time!!Highly recommended you book them the next time you are looking for a Trip . You won’t be disappointed

Great trip with Capt Dan and First Mate Adam. Very personable, friendly and knowledgeable. It felt like we were fishing with ol buddies, and they were great with my kids. Fish On! Had a great time with friends catching our limit of Lake Trout. Captain Dan and Adam will make you feel part of the crew (without any of the work). Super insightful on answering all our questions. Plenty of space on the boat to move around freely as well. Would highly recommend!Jon Snyder

Had a Great afternoon with the Going Deeper team Cpt. Dan was professional and safe, and also new how to hook us up. Adam 1st mate took all the abuse all day and was very serious about any hook up that was lost. Which made all of us laugh as we where still having a great time, and still landing fish. What a AWESOMEt day fishing!! Captain Dan was very patient with all my questions about just about everything. It started out real foggy but that didn't stop us. When one finally hooked they were one after another. Couldnt of asked for a better captain or trip, can't wait to go again real soon. Wonderful experience. Very relaxing and great night of fishing. Every detail was covered, and we took home 10 Trout and 2 Ciscos. Dan cleaned the fish and filleted them immediately after we docked. Very organized, clean, and fun. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great fishing excursion.Thank you for a great family night!Paul Stawecki

My buddies and I had a great time fishing with Captain Dan on Lake Michigan. He has a nicely equipped 32 foot boat with state of the art electronics. Within minutes of putting the lines in the water, we had FISH ON! We limited out on huge lake trout and enjoyed the great fight they put up. Visited Charlevoix in June 2017, chartered full day with Captain Dan for Lake Michigan Lake Trout, etc. The four of us had our limit of Lake Trout in a few hours along with a nice Steelhead. Afterwards, headed back over to Lake Charlevoix to target the elusive Walleye... Caught Small-mouth bass, Northern Pike, and finally grabbed up a nice Walleye. DETERMINATION and persistence paid off. Capt. Dan was a fantastic guide as well as a conversationalist - between strikes and as we trolled along, he gave us some interesting tidbits for many of the local lake houses and even mentioned selling prices for some of the most recent mansions sold. Overall, the fishing trip was perfect - beautiful day on the water, very successful with regards to amount of fish caught, referred us to John Cross Fisheries for smoking some of our fillets, and the rest we ate the next day. Awesome day with Capt. Dan and "Going Deeper Sportfishing"!

SIX stars in my opinion. I have been on a few dozen charters in my life, and this day eclipsed them all. Great boat, great equipment, great crew and over the top captain. Not only got fish, but fishing lessons! Would recommend to anyone – Kids had a blast! Thanks Dan and Matt!!!

My wife and me and another couple of friends went fishing with Captain Dan and First mate Matt on June 21, 2017. A perfect day started at 2pm: went out to Lake Michigan and limited out on Lake Trout with a nice adder - one Steelhead; then went back over to Lake Charlevoix and fished for the elusive Walleye... caught a nice Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, and yes, finally caught my first Walleye! Also learned about some of the beautiful homes along the banks of Lake Charlevoix. Boat was well-equipped with all necessary items and every kind of fishing rod & lure imaginable...We highly recommend Captain Dan and Going Deeper Sportfishing Charters. We caught LOTS of fish and had a fantastic day!Lawrence Binsky

Just went fishing 7-6-16 with Captain Dan and have been on numerous charters on Lake Mi. and not one charter Captain worked as hard as Captain Dan. It was a pleasure to be with Captain Dan!!! Oh and by the way we LIMITED OUT!!
